Even as almost all the political parties in Tamil Nadu are demanding the lifting of ban on Jallikkatu (bull taming), the former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has written to an NGO, supporting its campaign against the sport.

The letter, written to MG Jayasingh, Managing Director of Secunderabad-based Human Society International India, which has gone viral in social media, Manmohan Singh has said that they have to “work to discourage bullfight which provides a cruel form of entertainment.”

The letter, allegedly written by the former Prime Minister on December 15, said that the NGO has picked up a worthy objective and wished them success in their objective.
