Gun, cartridges, ornaments looted from BSF constable’s house

A double barrel gun, 35 cartridges and nine sovereigns of gold ornaments were looted from the house of BSF head constable Thiruvasagam in Chinna Thadagam. Thiruvasagam is in Gujarat on duty.
On Sunday, Jayashree, wife of Thiruvasagam, with her two children, had gone to her sister’s house in Annur, some 35 km from here, police said.
Some neighbours, who noticed the main door of the house open last evening, called
Jajashree over phone and informed her.
Jayashree, who returned immediately, saw that an almirah had been broken open and gun and cartridges, along with the licence, and ornaments were missing from it, police said.
Based on a complaint, Thudiyalur police have engaged finger print experts for the investigation.
