The Minister for Municipal Administration and Rural Development, S.P. Velumani, said that officials of all the departments should work hard for the success of the job fair, which will be held in Coimbatore on Sunday.

Addressing officials at the review meeting held today at Krishna Engineering College, where the job fair is going to be held, Velumani said that they should make sure of the maximum participation of companies from various fields, to help the graduates. “We should make sure that adequate facilities are provided for the company executives and the job seekers, and make sure that all are comfortable,” he said.

He further advised that enough safety measures and traffic personnel are deployed so that the area is not congested, as more than 1 lakh participants are expected.

“There should also be adequate cell phone networks covering the area, as there are too many people in a single place. Free buses should also be provided for graduates from all the bus terminals in Coimbatore,” he added.

He further congratulated the officials for their preparation efforts. “I request you to work with the same dedication and concentration, and help make the job fair a great success,” he said.
