500th core banking post office inaugurated

The Avinashilingam Home Science College Sub-post Office was declared the 500th core banking post office of the western region today.
Alexin George, Senior Superintendent of Post Officers, Coimbatore; PR Krishna Kumar, Chancellor of Avinashilingam Deemed University, Coimbatore; Manju P. Pillai, Post Master General of Western Region, Coimbatore; and family members of the postal department employees were present at the inaugural function that was held at the premises today.
“I’m happy that we have a fully functional facility at our campus. We no longer have to go out of our way in order to avail the services,” Angelina M, final year student of Avinashilingam Deemed University, Coimbatore, said.
