The students and staff of the Department of Visual Communication, Rathinam College of Arts and Science, took a break from their regular classes and lab sessions to celebrate Pongal. This time, folks from the neighbouring villages joined the teachers and staff in the celebrations.

As part of the celebrations, a traditional rally was organized. The students’ music band played native tunes. There were several traditional competitions like pot-breaking and tug-of-war organized for the students. Events like dance, elocution, poem writing, and rangoli, among others were also organized at the college campus.

Sweet pongal was prepared and it was relished by the students and village folks.
