National award for city college principal

N. R. Alamelu, Principal, Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Vattamalipalayam, received the National Award for the Best Engineering College Principal of the year 2015 from Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), New Delhi. She was conferred this award for her accomplishments, management skills, leadership qualities and commitment for betterment of the Institution.
Ms. Alamelu received the award from Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport – Highways and Shipping, during the 45th Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) National Annual Convention that was organized in Maharashtra recently.
ISTE is a leading National Professional Society for Technical Education System in India. Every year ISTE invites nominations from all AICTE approved engineering Institutions for the Best Engineering College Principal Award instituted by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai. The objective of the award is to encourage heads of engineering colleges to develop outstanding leadership qualities in institutional development and management and a commitment to quality and standards in all programmes.
