Dr. Raja Sabapathy gets second term in AFMS

S. Raja Sabapathy, Chairman, Division of Plastic, Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery and Burns of Ganga Hospital, has been appointed Honorary Consultant and Advisor to the Indian Armed Forces Medical Services for a term of three years in the field of Reconstructive Surgery.

A release from this hospital stated that Dr. Raja Sabapathy has been appointed for a second term.

“We have great respect for the Armed Forces Medical Services for the work they perform under demanding situations. We value the relationship we have with the Armed Forces Medical Services. The collaboration has been mutually beneficial and we consider this as a great honour and opportunity,” Dr. Raja Sabapathy said.

He has also served as a civilian member of the Armed Forces Medical Research Committee (AFMRC) of the Defence Research and Development Organization for a three-year term from 2010.

As Honorary Consultant, Dr. Raja Sabapathy will provide his expertise to Defence personnel as and when needed. He will also share his expertise in teaching and training young people.
