Western Ghats International School Investiture Ceremony Held

Investiture ceremony for the academic year 2015-16 was conducted at the Western Ghats International School campus on Monday. Jatin Kishore, Second-in-Command, Rapid Action Force, 105 Battalion, Coimbatore, was the chief guest and presided over the function.

According to a news release from the school, the ceremony was held with a lot of fanfare. A. Afreen of Grade IX welcomed the gathering. The school Principal Ms. Priscilla Rani introduced the chief guest. Mr. Jatin Kishore formally invested V. Leela Venkatesh as School Marshal, and A. Afreen as School Vice-Marshal. He presented them with a badge, and sashes, and handed them their placards. He also instated and honoured the four house captains and vice-captains for the houses – Agni, Prithvi, Brahmos, and Trishul, the names being inspired by the missiles developed by India.

He also honoured the four teachers who will mentor the houses. This was followed by the induction of the President, Secretary, and Mentor for Nature Club, Helping Hands Club, Quiz Club, and Space Club, besides the subject-related clubs.

Later, the chief guest administered an oath to all the invested student leaders. He advised them to utilize these responsibilities to become great leaders of the future.
