EVMs arrive from Bihar for Tamil Nadu elections

More than 7,000 EVMs were brought to Coimbatore for the coming state assembly elections. There are 7520 EVMs and 4000 control units that are currently being kept in safe custody at the office of the D.D. Health, according to the district collector Archana Patnaik.

The machines were brought from West and East Champaran, Khagaria and Nawada districts of Bihar in 12 vans under high security.

Preliminary inspections of the devices will be conducted until February 19 by the officials of the Election Commission.
