PMK chief ministerial candidate Anbumani Ramadoss launched a scathing attack on the DMDK president Vijayakanth, accusing him of lacking political ideology, and blatantly attempting to bargain for seats in the upcoming state assembly elections.
When asked about PMK’s poll-alliances, he told reporters that PMK is ready to fight the polls alone and ruled out the possibility of seat-bargaining.
Anbumani said that the party has announced that it will not join hands with the DMK or the AIADMK, and dared Vijayakanath if he had the guts to announce that he will not form alliance with the Dravidian parties.
He said that Vijayakanth was openly bargaining with the DMK, Congress, BJP, and the Peoples Welfare Alliance, which showed his lack of any political policy or ideology. He added that the people and Vijayakanth’s own party members were confused with his behaviour.
About the newly formed Congress-DMK alliance, he said that the DMK was a sinking ship and those on-board will also drown.
He also called the Chief Minister’s decision to release the seven accused in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case as “a political drama.”
