“I have come across several college-goers who like to spend their parent’s money and they enjoy life to the fullest. But, when I was approached by a group of college students who have joined hands in order to educate the girl child, without second thoughts, I decided to support this cause,” Vijaya Krishnan Rajagopalan, partner at Go Gizmo, said.

The venue was Kites Cafe’, a city based coffee shop that serves a variety of snacks and short-eats, and the occasion was a fund-raising event that is the initiative of ENLIFT, an NGO that works towards educating the underprivileged children. This is the third year that the NGO was organizing this fundraising event.

As a part of the fund-raising event, the NGO had invited city-based musical band Laazh, and VR4U and Kurangan from Chennai, to entertain the audience. The guests paid an entry fee to be a part of the evening and they were served mocktails while they enjoyed live music. Guests were free to call for the snacks and short-eats from the a-la-carte menu at the venue.

The venue Kites Cafe’ was packed to capacity and there were few guests who did not mind standing. Kites Cafe’ will donate 50 percent of the bill amount to NGO ENLIFT to support their ongoing project.
