Rs. 33.36 lakh seized; Rs.18.80 lakh returned

The elections officials in the district have so far seized about Rs.33.36 lakh from different persons during vehicle check. Of this, Rs.18.80 lakh has been returned to the owners, after they produced valid documents, official sources said.
Similarly, the election department has registered 240 cases for violation of Model Code of Conduct in the district, which has 10 Assembly constituencies.
This include, hoisting party flags, displaying graffiti and posters in public and private
places, they said.
