TNCC President E.V.K.S. Elangovan on Saturday ruled out the possibility of Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) joining the DMK-Congress alliance in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

Replying to a specific question on TMC – led by former Union Minister G.K. Vasan – joining the alliance, Elangovan told reporters that there was no possibility of the party allying with DMK-Congress alliance.

When asked about the delay in deciding the number of seats Congress was contesting from, he said that it would be announced in a couple of days.

Party leader Gulam Nabi Azad would have another round of talks with DMK Chief Karunanidhi and the announcement would be made immediately within two or three days, Elangovan said.
