The BJP national general secretary Muralidhar Rao today branded the western region of Tamil Nadu as ‘the ‘sleeping corridor for Jehadi terrorism,’ and accused the state government of not taking any action against it.

”Many of our leaders were killed and targetted in Salem. But the government failed to take action against such terror activities,” Rao alleged at a press conference here in Coimbatore. “The region is a sleeping corridor for Jehadi terrorism, through Kerala and Karnataka, and these forces are working actively.”

Accusing the state government of not taking any steps to end such activities, Rao said that development will not come to Tamil Nadu unless the people felt secured from Jehadi terrorists.

About the alleged non-availability of the Chief Minister, Rao said, “Everybody knows this. How many times has she met the general public? Let the party come out with statistics.”

On the raging ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ slogan, he said that even Congressmen had chanted such slogans, and those who opposed it had left India long back.
