CEC visits Tamil Nadu, Puducherry

The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Nasim Zaidi is on a visit to Tamil Nadu and Puducherry to personally inspect their poll preparations. Both Tamil Nadu and Puducherry go to the polls on May 16.

As part of his tour, the CEC met with the top police officials of the state and the union territory to discuss various issues. He also met the Chief Electoral Officer of Puducherry.

The CEC will meet the prominent political leaders, the DGP, and Chief Secretary of Puducherry on Thursday. On Friday, he will arrive at Chennai to meet the top officials of the state. He will return to New Delhi on the same day.
