50 year old man hit by motorist succumbs

A 50 year old man who was hit by a motorist near Chinniyampalayam on Wednesday succumbed at a private hospital in Coimbatore here on Thursday.
According to police, the deceased M.Balan was reportedly residing at Teachers’ Colony near Chinniyampalayam in Coimbatore. On Wednesday, he was reportedly hit by a motorist near Chinniyampalayam while he was walking and sustained grievous head injuries. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital on Mettupalayam Road and was treated for one day. However, he failed to respond to the treatments and succumbed to his injuries. A case has been registered with the Traffic wing of the Coimbatore city police.
