Claiming that the BJP is creating a fake development image to lure youngsters, the Campus Front of India (CFI) said that it would start campaigning against the BJP from Saturday for the upcoming Assembly elections.

Briefing media persons in Coimbatore on Friday, S. Mustafa, the State President of CFI, said that CFI would support the party that worked towards prohibition, free education and creating a campus democracy so that students learnt politics while in college.

“The BJP is trying to find a place in the State of Tamil Nadu as it had come to power in the centre by luring youngsters. This should not be allowed,” he added.

Mustafa also alleged that it was framing students in central universities who were raising their voice against its anti national activities.

“The BJP has been banning students’ unions like the Ambedkar Periyar Study Circle and has taken a stand against the involvement of students in politics, which is not healthy,” he added.

He also added that the Front would be reaching out to one crore student voters in the State and distribute handouts to ensure 100 per cent polling.

“People should select a suitable candidate and not NOTA, as their vote will not be useful,” said Mustafa.
