Hi-tech training centre for person with disabilities

Cheshire Home here is setting up a Hi-Tech Training Centre for person with disabilities, which will be opened on April 18.

The Centre, one of the first among private non-profit organisations in Coimbatore and adjoining districts, will train various types of persons with disabilities especially those with intellectual, visual, hearing and speech impairment, and orthopaedic impairment, Homes Chairman C. Ravi Selvan, told reporters here today.

The training level starts from basic to advance and after successful completion, they would be provided suitable employment opportunity, he said.

Coimbatore Metropolitan Round Table 62 and Coimbatore Metropolitan Ladies Circle 23 are jointly setting up the Centre, by providing Rs. 7 lakh worth advanced computer with sophisticated software by which those with any disability, including visual, can handle it, he said.
