Goldsmith commits suicide owing to business loss

Suffering a heavy loss in business, a 39-year old goldsmith committed suicide by consuming cow dung powder at his residence at Chokkampudhur in Coimbatore on Friday.

According to police, the deceased K.Thangaraj, was reportedly working as a goldsmith in Chokkampudhur for several years. Married to T.Rene, Thangaraj was unable to run the family as his job did not provide him enough.

Frustrated with the fact that he was not able to make ends meet Thangaraj decided to end his life by consuming cow dung powder on Friday. A case has been registered with the Selvapuram Police and they are investigating.
