AIADMK fields Kadambur Raju against Vaiko

After seven rejigs in the candidate list, AIADMK General Secretary and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has chosen Jayalalithaa Peravai Tuticorin District Secretary Kadambur Raju to meet Vaiko as his opponent in the Kovilpatti constituency.
According to sources, Ms. Jayalalithaa made changed eight candidates to find a strong opponent to counter MDMK leader Vaiko, who is contesting in Kovilpatti
A noted person in Tuticorin, senior AIADMK leader Raju has considerable clout among voters, especially in Kovilpatti.
The list of new candidates included three Ministers, P. Palaniappan, S.P. Shanmuganathan and P. Mohan.
AIADMK sources said that frequent changes in the candidate list were due to various factors and inputs to ensure a good victory margin.
