In a direct allegation, the PWF coordinator, Vaiko, has claimed that crores of Rupees are being transported in the convoy of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J. Jayalalithaa.

Blaming the AIADMK chief for bringing money in her convoy to the Sankarankovil constituency, Vaiko also claimed that the Election Commission is unable to do anything to stop it. He however has asked voters to be aware that it was their money that is being circulated.

Meeting media persons here on Tuesday, Vaiko, who was here in Coimbatore to campaign for the candidates of the PWF-DMDK-TMC alliance, said that although only the AIADMK cadre were being caught by the Election Commission, the DMK too is involved in cash distribution.

“DMK knows how to handle money without getting caught. The Election Commission should check all the vehicles of AIADMK and DMK, instead of selectively targetting the vehicles of our leaders,” he added.

Holding the DMK solely responsible for his decision to not contest from the Kovilpatti constituency, Vaiko alleged that the sources in the DMK had informed him that the party had planned to instigate a communal clash in the area.

“DMK is well known for its dirty politics, and one can see it now,” he said, adding that the people will oust both the Dravidian parties.

Coming down heavily on the Election Commission, Vaiko alleged that the Chief Electoral Officer Rajesh B. Lakhoni was a supporter of the AIADMK. He also blamed certain television channels for giving false survey results intended at altering the mindset of the people.
