Children of the TINKLE after school centre celebrated World Environment Day on Monday. Every year the day is celebrated on June 5.
The children were educated on the importance of preserving the environment and saving Mother Nature. Five saplings were planted in the school premises.
Later the children, along with volunteers participated in a walk to spread awareness on conserving the environment. “They carried placards with pictorial depictions designed by them,” T. Suresh Kumar of TINKLE charity said.
