Following the arrests of the persons involved in the murder of a man who was killed by the goons hired by his own daughter, the victim’s widow surrendered in the court in Coimbatore, on Wednesday.

N. Parimala (42), widow of Nagaraj, who was murdered by the gang hired by his own daughter, was absconding after police arrested the victim’s daughter, Mahalakshmi (19), her lover Satheesh, and his friends, who carried out the act.

While the murder took place on May 24, Mahalakshmi surrendered before the Coimbatore Judicial Magistrate on June 10, after investigations revealed her involvement in the murder. However, Parimala, who was also involved in the planning of the murder, was on the run.

On Wednesday, Parimala surrendered before the Coimbatore Judicial Magistrate, and was remanded in custody.

Mahalaksmi had allegedly paid Rs.1.5 lakhs by selling her jewels, to kill her father. Her boyfriend, Satheesh, along with his friends Kamalakannan (21), Santhosh Kumar (19), Krishna Kumar (19), and Sasikumar (22) murdered Nagaraj, a milk vendor, on May 24.
