Official of sub register office held for taking bribe

A junior assistant attached to the Periyanaickenpalayam sub registrar office was arrested today for allegedly accepting money for issuing a birth certificate.
The Department of Vigilance and Anti Corruption officials caught Rajamahendran red handed while accepting the marked notes from one David Kumar.
David had earlier lodged a complaint with the DVAC that Rajamahendran was demanding Rs. 400 for issuing a birth certificate for his child.
Investigations are on.
