City to host national seminar on energy and environment

The CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex and the Indian Institute of Technology – Madras, would hold a two-day national seminar on energy and environment here. This the first time that Coimbatore is hosting the conference.
Disclosing this while addressing a gathering of students, academicians and professionals at the trade fair complex, Dr. S. Mohan, professor of Environmental and Water Resources Engineering Division, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT-M, said the conference would hold serve as a platform for those who wish to display their innovation skills or product related to the energy and environment.
Dr. Mohan called upon professionals, academicians and researchers to submit research papers pertaining to this field – green technology, renewable energy, energy conservation, environment and waste management, smart city and nano technology.
A jury would scrutinize the entries and shortlisted ones would be asked to make a presentation at the conference. “Selected papers will be published in research journal and the best one will be awarded,” he added.
The conference scheduled for September 16 and 17, would take place at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex. The last date for submitting abstract is July 31, while August 31 is the last date for submitting papers.
