Held for sexually exploiting teenager

Police today arrested a construction worker for sexually exploiting a teenager.
Thanikodi of Kamudi in Ramanathapuram, who was working in a construction site at Selvapuram, developed friendship with a 17-year-old girl. Promising to marry her, he sexually exploited her and left for his native place to get married with another girl fixed by his parents.
On learning about this, the girl went to Kamudi and managed to stop the wedding. She also lodged a complaint with the local police there. Since the crime happened here, the case was transferred to Coimbatore. The women police took the case and arrested Thanikodi.
