Dist. officials urged to curb spread of dengue

The Principal Secretary to the State Government for the department of Handloom, Handicrafts, Textiles and Khadi, Harmander Singh, today held discussions with the district officials on the steps taken by the district administration to curb the spread of dengue. He urged them to spread awareness on dengue by conducting meetings and distributing handouts and pamphlets.

The directive came during a review meeting Harmander held with the officials at the collectorate to check the development projects of the State Government in areas including agriculture and animal husbandry.

Works involving the PWD and Highways department were also discussed. He directed the officials to complete the pending works at the earliest.

Harmander also checked on the distribution of freebies for school children and other projects of the State Government.
