Techie jumps to death from her Coimbatore apartment building

A 22-year-old techie jumped to her death from the sixth floor of her luxury apartment building in Coimbatore.

M Ganga Devi, 22, from Namakkal district works has been working as a test operator for Cognizant Technology Services for the last couple of years, reports said.

She was living in the sixth storey of the Keeranatham, Karumathampatty Platina Tower in Kovilpalayam with two of her room-mates.

On Sunday evening, she had been speaking over phone to her female friend in Bengaluru since 2 pm in the afternoon.

A couple of hours later, she jumped to her death, just after she had finished the call.

They body has been sent to the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.

The girl’s parents have been informed about the suicide and are on the way to Coimbatore from Namakkal.

Police sources said that Ganga Devi’s mobile phone records will be checked and the young woman with whom she was speaking to just before she jumped to her death will be quizzed.
