30 women workers injured as vehicle overturns in Kodanadu estate

Ooty: About 30 women estate workers were injured, some seriously, when the tractor trailer in which they were travelling overturned in Kodanadu estate, near Kothagri in Nilgiris district today.
The workers were being dropped at their respective places in the tractor-trailer, after completing their work. The vehicle overturned at a curve, resulting in injuries to 30 women.
All of them with injuries on their heads, hands, and legs, were immediately rushed to the Kothagiri Government hospital. After first aid, they were all taken to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for further treatment.
The Tamil Nadu chief minister, Jayalalithaa used to stay in the guest house in the estate for a while, each year, for vacations.
