Medical student commits suicide in college

A female student, doing her MS at the PSG Institute of Medical Science and Research, in Coimbatore, reportedly committed suicide today by jumping off the institution’s fifth floor.
28-year old Lakshmi, hailing from Namakkal district, doing her first year MS, suddenly climbed up the stairs and jumped down from the fifth floor of the PSG Institute of Medical Science and Research, police said. With serious injuries, who was admitted to the institute hospital succumbed after getting into a coma, they said.
Police are investigating, even as management is trying to ascertain the reason for the suicide.
