Students pay homage to Kalam

Students and staff members of a city-based school today paid homage to former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. They observed a minutes silence and lit candles as a mark of respected to Kalam who passed away last year.

Addressing the students, school principal A. Benjamin advised them to set a goal and start working towards it. He termed Dr. Kalam as a beacon scientist, a technocrat, a pioneer of religious and communal harmony, a greatest mentor and determined patriot. “He was honoured with so many titles and awards.

Still he led a simple life. A teacher who wished to held students reach greater heights, he was a voracious reader and an impressive speaker. His hard work and dedication made India a developed nation,” he said.
