Coimbatore gears up for JK-FMSCI National Racing Championship

Some of the biggest names in the Indian racing scenario, including Krishnaraaj Mahadik, Akhil Rabindra, Akash Gowda, Mohammed Nalwala, and Kush Maini will be competing in the 19th JK-FMSCI National Racing Championship scheduled to be held in Coimbatore on Sunday, July 31.

The first round of the highly anticipated championship will see the country’s top racers gun for glory in their machines in three different categories: the Euro JK 2016 India Series, the Formula LGB
04, and India Touring Cars.

Leading the pack in the Euro JK category will be Krishnaraaj Mahadik and Akhil Rabindra, who have been creating ripples in the British Formula 3 championships, while Akash Gowda, Mohammed Nalwalla, and Kush Maini will also be strong contenders in a field of 12 racers.

The LGB races promise to be equally fascinating with Sudarshan Karwal, Rohit Khanna, and Sneha Sharma expected to be among the title contenders.

A special adventure zone is being created for kids and adults alike which will include a Zip Line, a Free Fall and various obstacle courses. An international band will also be livening up the proceedings and setting the mood to groove.

Former racing legends, Hari Singh, Rohitaaz Kumar and Sunny Sidhu will be performing stunts in their cars.

20 lady bikers from Bengaluru, who are part of the popular Bikerni group, will be driving around the city on Saturday and Sunday to promote road safety among youngsters. They will also lead a rally from the District Collector’s Office to the Kari Motor Speedway this Sunday.
