Central govt orders extension of CBI Director Praveen Sood’s tenure for another year
For the first in the history of prisons in Tamil Nadu, a camp was organised in the Coimbatore Central Prison to screen the staff and prisoners of Hepatitis B and C virus.
The one-week camp began today, on the occasion of World Hepatitis Day. The camp will benefit 1,850 prisoners and undertrials, and 300 staff members.
Dr. V.G. Mohanprasad of Coimbatore-based VGM Hospital, led the medical team. If anybody was found affected with the virus, treatment will be provided to them.
