Man sentenced for life for killing wife

The Erode district court has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for immolating and killing his wife, suspecting her character.
Deivakumar, 35, and his wife Eswari, 32, who fell in love and got married eight years ago, have a seven-year-old daughter.
Deivakumar has been coming home drunk and beating up his wife frequently.
On August 24, last year, the couple had a quarrel following which the husband doused his wife with kerosene and set her on fire.
The women’s fast track court in Erode registered a case and Judge Thirunavukarasu handed down a life imprisonment for Thirunavukarasu and also fined him Rs10,000.
