Lorry-crane collide, 8 injured

Eight persons were injured, three of them seriously, in an accident involving a lorry and a crane near Annur in the district today.
According to police, the crane and the lorry coming in opposite directions collided against each other while trying to negotiate two cars at Kariampalayam. Under the impact both the heavy vehicles lost control and jerked into the bus stand and injured eight persons.
All the injured were rushed to the nearby hospital. Two cars parked near the bus stand were also damaged.
