Photographs of a little girl being apparently molested by an elderly man outside a town library in the Theni district, has gone viral on social media, with the district collector promising to take action.

Though there is no official confirmation of the incident that happened at Thambinayakanpatti, the pictures have sparked angry reactions from the public.

When the incident was brought to the attention of the district collector N Venkatachalam, he assured investigation into the complaint.
