CII meet to discuss development related work

Night train services between Coimbatore and Bengaluru and other development related work would be some of the issues that would come up for discussion during the Tides-Leadership Summit here on Saturday.

Hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry, the Summit would be addressed by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, in which several industrialists would participate.

“We are planning to take up other development related issues, including opening of a section of a flyover near Uppilipalayam, with the Minister,” chairman of the Summit, Ravi Sam, told reporters here today.

Nethra J.S. Kumar, chairperson of CII Coimbatore, said apart from Suresh Prabhu, speakers from fields including technology, innovation, design, environment and entertainment, spirituality and sports would address the summit.

“There are different sessions including ‘Out of the Box’ thoughts for leadership; changing the world from within; the future perspective; corporates for nation; arts, mind and soul and transformation begins at home,” she said.

Speakers include Archana Shah, founder, Designer of Rang Bandhej Retail Private Limited, Ankit Agarwal, founder of Helpusgreen, Prashant Nair, District Collector of Kozhikode and actor and president of Nadigar Sangam M. Nasser.

“We are expecting around 200 participants from all over Tamil Nadu for the summit,” Ravi Sam added.
