Territorial Army to conduct recruitment from October 19

The 110 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Madras here would conduct recruitment of soldiers for enlisting in the Army from October 19 to 23.
Candidates who belong to Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka and the Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Goa, Daman and Diu, Lakshadweep and Puducherry can appear for the same at the PRS Grounds, here from 6 a.m. onwards.
Physical test would be conducted only on October 19 and on subsequent days, medical test and personal interview be conducted for candidates who passed in physical test, an official communique said today.
Candidates who are employed in civil or self employed, ex-NCC cadets, outstanding sportsmen, chef, mason, artist, painters, LMV/HMV license holders, musicians, wood art worker and dependents of servicemen/ex-servicemen would be given preference, it said.
Those employed in civil organisation would have to produce an NOC from employers. Personnel seeking enrollment should be present with PT shorts, shoes, original civil education certificates, PAN Card, Aadhar Card and ration card along with six passport size photographs, it said.
The minimum education qualifications and physical standards required are (a) Solider (General Duties) (i) Age: 18 to 42 years (ii) Physical standard, Height-160cms Weight-50 kgs, Chest- Min 77cms, (iii) Education standard : SSLC/1O Pass with 45 per cent marks aggregate.
