Eye donation fortnight: contests for students conducted

More than 150 students participated in the poetry writing and painting competitions organised by Ophthalmology Department of the the PSG hospitals to commemorate the national eye donation fortnight. The eye donation fortnight is observed from August 25 to September 8, according to a press release from the hospital.
Dr. K. Divya, eye bank in-charge in her address, explained the importance of eye donation. A short film highlighting the significance of eye donation was also screened. Ravichandran, a visually challenged person listed out achievements of various visually challenged persons around the world.
