Wisdom moralizes people with social values, but knowledge demoralizes them and leads to decay, Swami Abhiramananda said, while addressing the former students of Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, today.

It was homecoming of sorts for the over 200 students who visited their alma mater, Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science. “Wisdom moralizes people with social values, whereas knowledge demoralizes them and finally leads to decay. You must be rolemodels in your homes, offices, and society and follow the philosophies of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda,” Swami Abhiramananda, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore, said.

He was addressing the alumni meet of the unaided section of the college.

Dr. R. Sridhar, Director of unaided wing of the college, brought to light the various academic and extra-curricular achievements of the students and faculty members of the previous academic year. He also highlighted plans for the next academic year.

Dr. C. Jayabalakrishnan, Principal of Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science; Dr. R. Anand, Assistant Professor of Tamil; and C.R. Sakthivel, Head of the Department, Computer Science, also participated in the alumni meet.
