A memorandum of understanding was signed between KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, and MAS Solar Systems Private Limited to promote industry-oriented research activities.

K. Suganthi, Director, MAS Solar Systems, and Dr. K. Bommanna Raja, Principal, KPRIET, inked the MoU. Prince Anand, R&D, MAS Solar Systems, spoke on “Solar PV Design and Installation”. Students were given an opportunity to display their talents through the various technical events that were organized as part of the event.

The MoU was inked to mark the National Renewable Energy Day. The Ministry for New and Renewable Energy sources, promotes innovative techniques to adopt renewal energy sources to produce power for the electricity grid and for several standalone applications and decentralised power production.

Mass rallies, human chains, essay contests, quiz contests, slogan-writing and painting competitions, debates, seminars and group discussions are organized to spread awareness about the significance of this day.
