Three persons, including two women, were injured when the walls in their house collapsed at Kembatti Colony in Coimbatore on Wednesday.

According to police, the three – Karuppamma (67), Palaniammal (55) and Subramaniam – residents of the Ramar Koil Street, were sleeping when the walls collapsed.

Hearing their cries, neighbours rushed to the spot and took them to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.

Initial investigation revealed that the walls had weakened due to the heavy rains that lashed the city on Monday.
