A group of women, affiliated to All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) today performed the last rites to an ATM in the city, to protest against its non-functioning, following Prime Minister’s Narendra Modi’s demonetisation.

Since no money was available in the machine, it was now dead and the women were performing its last rites by paying floral tributes, AIDWA sources said. They also enacted a funeral scene, where they danced to songs of mourning.
