State-level Karate championship held

More than 150 students from Tamil Nadu participated in the State-level Karate championship competition today at Rathnam College.

Conducted by the Tamil Nadu Youth Karate Association, headed by Rathnam College CEO Prof. R. Manikam, the winners of this championship would participate in the three-day Asian Karate Championship at New Delhi beginning on November 28.

The technical director of TYKA, T. Muthaiah, said, “Karate is the best self defence art in the world. The selected students would participate in the Asian Karate Championships and would be trained by the best trainers.”
