Honouring the Peter Peace Mission Trust in Coimbatore for their social work of 25 years, the postal department released a special stamp cover on their anniversary here.
The trust, which has been running in Coimbatore and is registered under the Central government, has been working towards many aspects over the years, said to T Stanley, the Chairman of the trust.
“Our priority is the abolition of child labour; we have helped rescued child labourers achieve their dreams. We have also worked towards empowering women in rural areas and have taken up the Centre’s Government ‘save the girl child’ initiative,” he said.
The stamp cover was released by Coimbatore region Post Master General Sharda Sampath and was received by District Collector TN Hariharan.
