34-year-old hangs self

Unable to clear debts, a 34-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Pollachi on Wednesday.
According to police, the deceased N. Mansur Ali Khan, resident of Anbu Nagar at Palakkad Road in Pollachi, was running a photo studio in his house. Due to financial crunch, he had borrowed money from his neighbours.
However, he was unable to pay back the money on time and his business further crumbled.
On Wednesday, when his wife M. Jasmine left for work, Mansur resorted to the extreme step. The couple have two daughters.
Police have registered a case and are investigating.
