Corporation official nabbed while accepting bribe

A junior assistant in the city corporation was today arrested while accepting bribe for doing an official favour.
Based on a complaint by one Damodaran of Thoppampatti that Premananth was demanding money to issue a land certificate, sleuths of Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption laid a trap at noon, police said.
The officials arrested Vijay when he was accepting chemical-marked notes worth Rs 1,500 from Damodaran, they said.
