Art of Living Foundation to clean Chitrai Chavadi check dam

The City chapter of NGO Art of Living Foundation has decided to clean the Chitrai Chavadi check dam near Perur on Sunday. It has called upon the public to join this initiative.
The foundation has already commenced the cleaning of Raja Canal which joins the Noyyal river. The work on the 12-km canal has been on for past eight days.
“The farmers of the nearby villages who cultivate around 2,000 acres are very happy about the work done by our foundation. They requested cleaning up of the approach area of Chitirai Chavadi check dam which supplies water to this canal,” said foundation senior faculty K.A. Dhamdoran.
“We appeal to every citizen of Coimbatore to join in this service and prepare the city ponds to welcome the monsoon. City police has also accepted to join us in the project,” he added.
People have been asked to register with the foundation’s nearest followup centre or contact any of its officials.
