Charges framed against Sukesh, father in cheating case

Charges have been framed against middleman Sukesh and his father Chandrasekhar in connection with a case of cheating a kitchen equipment dealer in the city some seven years ago.

Sukesh, who is in Tihar Jail in Delhi, in connection with Two-Leaves symbol case, was brought to the city today and produced before Second Judicial Magistrate Rajkumar.

Based on the complaint by dealer Rajavelu that Sukesh heated him of Rs 2.5 lakh on the promise of getting him a tender from Karnataka government in 2010, police arrested him and Chandrasekhar, hailing from Bengaluru.

Sukesh was brought by train by Delhi police.

Charges under Section 420 of IPC (cheating) were framed against the two. Copies of the chargesheet running to 60 pages were given to them during the last hearing on July 6.

The case has been posted to August 3 and Sukesh was taken back to Delhi by train.
