Probe on into `VIP treatment’ in jail for Dileep

Kochi: In close resemblance to the VIP treatment given to AIADMK leader Sasikala in the jail in Bengaluru, reports have started flowing in of actor Dileep getting similar treatment at Aluva sub jail.
A Tamil Nadu native facing a theft charge is believed to be assisting Dileep.
The actor has been given the privilege to dine food made for jail authorities inside jail kitchen. He is said to be allowed to go to the kitchen after all other inmates finish their food.
Normally, only inmates with disability are provided with an assistant.
Dileep is also said to be exempted from washing clothes and dishes as also cleaning the toilet as done by other convicts.
Normally, only lawyers and close relatives are allowed to visit the accused in the jail. But in Dileep’s case, his friend was allowed in. The jail department is probing into the allegations.
